Hi, what are you looking for?

The Hisense U7H and U8H Series TVs receive WiSA SoundSend certification, making wireless surround sound audio connectivity easy.

WiSA® (Wireless Speaker and Sound Association) has announced that Hisense’s 2022 U7H and U8H Series TVs have earned WiSA SoundSend Certification after successful testing.

In 2021, the WiSA SoundSend Certification program was launched to ensure simple connection and interoperability between smart TVs and the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter.

From David Gold, President of Hisense USA: “We are excited Hisense’s U7H and U8H are now WiSA SoundSend Certified. As a long-time WiSA partner, we take pride in ensuring that our 2022 lineup has more of the premium audio features consumers are looking for, including an interoperable design and effortless pairing with this award-winning wireless audio transmitter,… Connecting a WiSA SoundSend to the U7H and U8H allows multi-channel audio content to be transmitted, completing  an exceptional home cinema experience with robust audio.”

Tip: What Is WiSA? What You Need To Know And How It Works  What WiSA SoundSend Is

The WiSA SoundSend is an external hub that works connects to any TV via HDMI ARC/eARC and uses WiSA HT wireless audio technology to connect to WiSA-certified speaker systems (2 to 8 channels).

However, connecting a WiSA SoundSend to a certified Hisense U7H and U8H TV ensures better compatibility. According to a statement from WiSA: “In our testing, we’ve found that some TVs can’t pass the highest quality audio formats that SoundSend can process. We’ve also seen irregularities in some TVs’ handling of CEC commands sent to and received from SoundSend…”

WiSA has also indicated that future TV OS support for WebOS, Tizen, Roku, FireTV, and SmartCast is planned. (Support for TVs that use the Android and Google TV OS, such as the Hisense U7H and U8H is currently being implemented).

Tip: SoundSound can also be connected to a TV via a Digital Optical connection, but you will not be able to access HDMI-ARC/eARC connectivity features. However, you can also use the digital optical connection on the soundsend to connect to another external audio source if desired.

With the WiSA SoundSend, you can experience a TV listening experience that goes beyond what a soundbar can provide, without all the connection clutter of a traditional home theater receiver and wired speaker system.

Tip: Although sound signals are transmitted wirelessly from the SoundSend, WiSA speakers do need to be plugged into AC power to operate as each speaker (and subwoofer) has its own built-in amplifier.  Once the SoundSend and Speakers are powered up, the SoundSend will wirelessly search for and identify each speaker for proper surround sound channel distribution.  WiSA SoundSend Specifications Setup and Control Support: WiSA SoundSend App (iOS/Android)Connection Compatibility: All Smart TVs with HDMI ARC or eARCAudio Signal Reception From TV: ARC or eARC over HDMIWireless Audio Quality: Uncompressed 24-bit 48/96 kHz soundSignal latency: 5.2 millisecondsChannel Support: Up to 8 channels (wireless)Channel Synchronization: 1 microsecondAudio Format Decoding: Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby AtmosSpeaker Support: WiSA Certified Speakers and Speaker SystemsMaximum Number of Speakers Supported: 12DimensionsHeight: 1.0625 inches (27 mm)Width: 4.3125 inches(110 mm) Pricing and Availability
