Klipsch announces the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Heritage Multimedia Speaker System with Tractrix Horn technology and a great retro look.

Klipsch has adopted a classic retro look for its latest product, the ProMedia 2.1 Heritage Multimedia Speaker System. 

For Klipsch fans, the exterior cabinet design and grill bring back memories of the legendary Heresy and Forte speakers.

The Klipsch Heritage Series has delivered performance, accolades, and tremendous sales success for the venerable brand and we hope the new ProMedia 2.1 isn’t a clever marketing play but a genuinely great sounding system for only $350 USD.

Behind the look, the ProMedia Heritage is a 2.1 channel system that consists of two compact bookshelf loudspeakers combined with a compact, yet powerful 8-inch subwoofer. Classified as a multimedia speaker system, it can be used with a PC for gaming and music, as a music-only system, or with your TV as an alternative to a soundbar for watching shows and movies.

Tip: To use the system with a TV, the TV needs to have analog audio outputs.

The system utilizes powered speakers. You don’t have to connect them to an amplifier or receiver as the two speakers and subwoofer have their own built-in amps. For physical sources, you connect a stereo audio cable to the primary satellite speaker. Then that speaker distributes the audio signals to the secondary speaker and subwoofer via provided cables. 

The ProMedia Heritage doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi, so you can’t stream to it directly from the internet. However, the system does have built-in Bluetooth which allows users to stream music from their music library or favorite streaming services from compatible devices, such as smartphones. You can also connect physical sources to the system via the provided analog audio input. 

Tip: If using a turntable, depending on its connectivity options, you might have to place a phono preamp between the turntable and the speaker system. Core Features
