Honor's new Pad 8 has been released to the European and Chinese markets thus far; now, the OEM has announced that it is ready to expand its availability to India as well. The 12-inch device is to be sold via Flipkart in its new country.
It has been some time since Honor has offered tablets on that website, with the next newest device listed there being the Pad 5 with Android 9.0 (Pie). The Pad 8 is also set to wade back in to competitive waters already inhabited by rivals from Motorola and Nokia.
Then again, Honor asserts that its alternative will prove the best tablet for entertainment, with its 8-speaker array and "eye-protecting" display driven by the Snapdragon 680 SoC. The OEM has yet to specify when it will be released, as does its new retail partner.
Then again, Flipkart elaborates slightly in that the Honor Pad 8 is "coming soon" on the new product pages added for the device. They show that the tablet will be available in its Blue Hour colorway, and as 4 or 6GB RAM SKUs, despite the fact it has 8GB variants in other areas.
Some consumers may not mind, as they have been revealed to cost INR 29,999 (~US$376) and 31,999 (~US$402) respectively. Then again, the Xiaomi Pad 5 with a Snapdragon 860 platform for its faster 120Hz display is available for less on Amazon.in today.
