AUSTRALIA. A strong line-up of 37 speakers from across the airport and wider travel eco-system has been assembled for the Australian Airports Association’s inaugural Airport Retail & Commercial Forum, to be held in Gold Coast on 20-21 July.
The event is organised in cooperation between the AAA, The Moodie Davitt Report and The Mercurius Group. It is planned as a celebration of survival and resilience for the airport commercial sector as well as an opportunity for airports of all sizes to better understand how to improve non-aeronautical revenues.
The speaker line-up includes Australia’s Minister for Trade and Tourism Senator the Hon Don Farrell, representatives of 12 airports from Australia and New Zealand, a range of concessionaire representatives including duty free, F&B, car rental, car parking and out-of-home advertising, plus other experts in research, customer experience, design and travel & tourism.
This first stand-alone event for the airport retail and commercial sectors in the region has attracted strong sponsorship support from the airport commercial sector (see below).
This includes duty free players DFS, Dufry, Heinemann and Lagardere AWPL, as well as six major F&B concessionaires, ARE, Cater Care, Delaware North, Emirates Leisure Retail, HMS Host, and SSP. These are joined by the major airport advertising concessionaires oOh!media, JCDecaux and Bishopp, alongside an array of other companies.
The event will be moderated by The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt, The Mercurius Group Managing Director Ivo Favotto and The Mercurius Group Senior Consultant Diane Owens.
Full details can be found in the attached link to the programme.
Registration can still be arranged by contacting Erin Livingston at elivingston@airports.asn.au
